Keeping Numlock Key on

As we all know, the most common logon issue is making sure the NUMLOCK key
is on!
Is there any tool that will check that status of the NUMLOCK key and force
it on every xx minutes?

Removing the key would be nice but not practical for a few reasons.
Remaping it ight be something that I could present to my boss but he wants
to look into some service to check on it every minute or a way to disable
the user from disabling the NUMLOCK key

Thanks!

If you're concerned about it being ON at logon time (so
users don't enter the wrong passwords and lockout their
accounts);
change the following registry string value to 2:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control
Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators

Many PCs also have the option to turn on the NumLock via
the BIOS, check your specific PC.

The NumLock will be ON before logon and will stay ON after
logon. This does not prevent anyone from manually turning
it OFF though.

What about those people who want the NumLock key off? Many do. I'm one
of them. You'll never find NumLock on when I'm using a machine, but I
wouldn't presume to declare that no one should have NumLock on. I think
your boss is an idiot.
