keeping emails

Hi

I currently have a PC with Windows ME, and use Outlook
Express 6, and have thousands of emails filed which I
ideally need to keep.

But PC getting clunky, lost a couple of files, had to
reinstall software and with panic setting in, have ordered
a new PC. New PC will have Windows XP home edition.

I would prefer to use Outlook Express on the new PC.

I should be able to network both for a time.

How can I get my emails, folders, address book etc from
OE6 on ME PC to OE on new XP PC?

Can you just back up the files and drop them into the new
folder?

Microsoft's support site (http://support.microsoft.com/) has lots of
useful articles. One of which (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=270670)
that may apply in your situation was found by:

- Go to http://support.microsoft.com/.
- Do an advanced search.
- Select Outlook Express as the product.
- Search on "backup".
