Hi,

I realised that in the project I work in it would be very nice if we
could keep a personal e-log, so that we could easily document new
procedures, problems, discussions, telefon calls and whtatever else.
Any idea, weather a nice tool already exists or what one could use for
this purpose?

Thanks in advance

If you want "super simple," you can use windows notepad (or most true
notepad replacements like Metapad:)

http://liquidninja.com/metapad/

Create a simple text file. The first line should be ".LOG" without
the quotes. Press enter, then save. Next time you open that file,
notepad will insert a date/time stamp line to begin your entry. For
readability, make sure you put at least one blank line at the end of
your log entry before saving.

If you need a calendar style log, try Essential PIM (Epim) at

http://www.essentialpim.com/

(Four versions: Free/Pro each with Desktop/Portable versions - be sure
to download the correct version for your purpose.)

If you need a tree-style log, check out Treepad Lite at:

http://www.treepad.com/

Beyond those basic concepts, it's largely a matter of style. Depends
if you want a lot of bells and whistles or something barebones or
anywhere in between. LOTS of choices out there. Post back if you're
looking for specialized features.
