keeping a cell a constant

Hi all,
i have a cell A2 that is to be a constant value and is
used in a formula. When you copy the formula down the
reference in the formula increases i.e. A3, A4, A5 .......
Is there a way in the formula for it to always reference
that cell no matter if you copy or drag the formula


any help pllleeeaaaasssseee

You need to make the reference absolute. Instead of using A2 in your
formulas use $A$2, This means that filling down, or across, retains the A2
reference.

quick method: F2 then F4 converts A1 to $A$1
