keep losing cd/dvd drives

I posted on sat. 6/12 about this problem, and recieved
several responses 1 of them worked "

Select 'Windows Utilities' and scroll down to 'Restore
CD/DVD drives to
Windows Explorer.'
Perhaps his utility will do the trick. =),


But i keep losing my drives, i can get them back, but
something is wrong. I did a virus scan and spyware and
nothing. What is happening? what can i do to get
permanent fix? Any and all help is much appreciated.

Tried the 'Restore CD/DVD drives to windows explorer' and it didn't work. Any other ideas?
