I have a Compaq 4300 computer, Pentium 4. IE 6, WIN XP.
Very erratically I will get a pop-up reminder that
says "Page Cannot Be Displayed" and at the top it
says "Reminder" and the current date and time. This
doesn't happen just when I visit web sites. I get to web
sites fine, everything works fine, this pop-up just shows
up arbitrarily and with no rhyme or reason. Many times
I'm not even surfing. I can be using Outlook Express and
answering email and this thing will pop-up. I can be in
the middle of browsing a web site and it pops-up. The
email and the website are still there, there is just this
pop-up. It's not like the whole page turns into a "Page
Cannot Be Displayed" error page. Just this Reminder pop-
up. I have to go to Control-Alt-Delete and end task on
it in order to get rid of it. Then it will show up again
in a few minutes or ten minutes or 20 minutes or
immediately. There isn't anything consistent about when
it shows up. There's no "X" in the top corner to close
it out. It's incredibly annoying!!! While I was typing
this it showed up twice!! Any help will be appreciated.
This has been going on as long as I've been using XP. XP
wasn't an upgrade. I had a Gateway computer that the
motherboard died on and was running WIN 98. I wound up
having to get this system instead. (The Gateway was 4
years old anyway.) Any help is appreciated!
