Hi Torgeir

We've tried both this direct update and the windows update and we always get
a permissions error. This happens on both domain and non-domain machines.

We have tried

1) Using the local admin account (failed)
2) Using the local admin account after we renamed it back to "Administrator"
(failed)
3) Using the domain admin account (failed)
4) Using the domain admin account after we renamed it back to
"Administrator" (failed)
5) Using the Windows updater (failed)

Any thoughts?

I have the very same problem. With KB905915 installed IE goes wild and open
blank pages or hang. When I remove KB905915 things are back to normal. I
opened a support request with MSFT.

I have exactly the same problem, update installed correctly with WU, but
after reboot, IE crash and open a new blank window. In this Window, no module
in the menu is load (shortcut to messenger, Java.....) impossible to call a
favorite or any address to.
When IE is load, the home page is loaded fine, but if i call a favorite or
type a new address it crash and open immediatly a blank window. I'm IT
engineer, i have passed all my working day on this problem, the only solution
i found is to uninstall the fix.
My setup is Windows XP2, office 2003 SP2, Exchange 2003 mangement console
SP2, admin tools 2003 SP1.

I too have exactally the same problems.

Unstalling the FIX resolves the hanging isses and multi popups when
navigating via either <a href="some.url" _target="_new">foo<a> or using
window.open("url", "name", props). If I reinstall the fiiz the errors
return.

Please Advice, as there is oboiusly an issue or in compatablity with
something.

Regards

Andy

I have no problem with the KB905915.

I have problems with its download but I am blaming my dial-up connection for
it.

According to CNET news, if you have IE7 installed along IE6 on your
computer, it is bound to crash.

CNET added that ordinary users like me who don't get beta IE7 are not
affected by this flaw.

I salute all of you beta IE7 testers for your sacrifices. And when
Microsoft finally launch IE7 in 2006 its kinks would have been straighten
out. Thank you again IE7 beta testers.
