Since downloading the above referenced Critical Update I
keep getting the Error Message: " A runtime error has
occurred. Do you want to debug? Line:1. Error:Syntax
error."
I tried to follow the debug prompts, but without success.
Now I simply check the "No" button and the Error Window
disappears. The error window only appears when I begin an
internet search. How can I make the annoying Error Window
go away?

I suspect that the download was corrupt. The corruption could have been
with a file or a registry setting.

RECOMMENDATION:

1. Use Control Panel Add/Remove to uninstall the update referenced.
2. Restart your computer and check for the symptom.
3. If the symptom still appears, use System Restore to roll back your
system to a previous state.

4. Once you have corrected the symptom and your system is functioning

5. Then attempt to reinstall the critical update.
