KB828028 Keeps failing to install on XP

It has been 5 attempts now but KB828028 keeps failing to
install any help issues?? I've dissabled all programs
prior to install and still fails.

Me too. I heard a rumor that this is a 'known issue'
without a resolution, the suggestion I got was to set
the remind me later for 3 days each time it comes up.
Not exactly a fix.
 
OK, So I guess we just have to sit
here getting the same update
that can't install untill MS
gets their act together on this one.
It's tough when the critical update
you supposedly critically need won't
even install.
 
There are no errors just that it failed.
There is no log genereated for this one either
to look there.
By install direct do you mean go to update
without using auto-update. Or where would I
download the update from,it suposedly downloads
KB828028 but i never see it show up on system
like any other update.

Hi

You should look at the following log files in your Windows folder:

windows update.log
kb828028.log

You can also mail those two files to me if you want to (remove
the -spam part of my e-mail address).
