KB826942 locking up mutiple wireless routers

I have found that after applying KB826942 to my Win XP pro system, my
wireless routers are locking up about every 30 minutes.

I have had this problem on both a USR 8022 wireless router and an SMC 7004
VWBR router (both running latest microcode) using both a Cisco 350 wireless
adapter and a USR 2216 wireless adapter.

I have the routers set to use 128 bit WEP with open authentication.

Removing this fix has stopped the problem and I am able to recreate it on
two different machines. How do I notify Microsoft of the issue with this
fix?

Do you have the second version of the SMC7004VWBR? Mine is the first
version and not even capable of WPA, so it won't work at all with this
hotfix!

However, the SMC router does occasionally "lock up" with systems that are
on wireless connections. When this happens, the wired computers are still
working fine. Called and opened a case with SMC, and they sent me an
older version of the firmware for the SMC router (v1.21 as opposed to the
current 1.23). You might want to call them and discuss the problem with
them.
