This update came down yesterday. I noticed that a mouse
click on the vertical scrollbar results in a doubled page
movement in both IE 6.x and Eudora. Other applications
seem to scroll normally.

I removed the update and the scrollbar behavior returns to
normal.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Hi

Yes, a lot of people get this effect from MS03-048/KB824145. Microsoft is aware

of the problem and looking into it.

I just got an email from

"MS Corporation Technical Services"
<[email protected]>

It has an executable attached, q354987.exe .

It this real? I thought MS didn't email patches?

MS does not email patches. It's just a bad attempt to spread a virus. "(e-mail address removed)" should be a dead giveaway that it's phony.
