KaZaAproblems

Hi everybody,
mij daughter downloaded KaZaA. I try to remove it. Is impossible because is is always running, even when closed.
Please help.
 
Kazaa is one of the worst programs you can have on your
computer. It is laden with "spyware" and allows others to
access your computer in order to download programs....
get rid of it!

Visit http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/ and click on
"KazaaBegone"

Visit http://spybot.eon.net.au/index.php?lang=en&page=start
and download the Spybot utility program and then run it.

I agree. The stock KaZaA is really bad! A better version
is KaZaA Lite K++. Use that program along with Diet
KaZaA and it works fine.

As to KaZaA accessing your computer, yes, it does this
but only the folders you allow.

You can even share no folders and still download stuff
but some users will cancel your download if they see you
are not sharing any files.

I'll take it even further and say that if the computer owner is concerned
about the health and security of their computer, they should remove any and
all P2P file sharing apps from their PC and never consider using them again.

After uninstalling, go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download AdAware -
install, launch, update, and scan.
 
M'am, to do with your problem, and not how bad kazaa is,
press alt+ctrl+del all at the same time, then click the
processes tab, when that comes up, scroll down through
there to make sure it still isn't running in the
background, if it is, end process on it.

If they are that worried then they should disconnect from the internet and never
connect again. P2P is by far better than Windows itself. Looks at all the
security patches.

Only way to go is make sure you have a firewall and up to date antivirus.
