Dear All,

I'm facing a problem when i'm playing downloaded mp3s in Kazaa under Win XP
Professional.

The mp3 file plays fine for around 10-12 seconds from the beginning and
later plays sweaking noises randomly.

I'm only facing this problem under Win Xp,Kazaa works superb under other
OS.

Please assist accordingly.

Best regards,

Savio Mathias

The problem is that you're downloading MP3 files that have been planted
by the recording industry purposely to help thwart people from obtaining
the music without paying for it.

You may also have a corrupt file. What was the title given
the file? Does Kazaa do this on all, or Just some?

Lester,

What corrupt file are you referring to?

Kazaa does this to some of the mp3 files i've downloaded.

Funny i didn't face this problem in Win98.

Any further clues?

Rgds,

Savio

and is used to download illegal copies of media thereby avoiding payment for
said media. I'd contact Kazaa if you have questions.

Ok fine it d/ls spyware and stuff.

Does not have any reference to some files squeaking.

What's the next solution?

Rgds,

Savio

Kazaa is like UPS or FedEx. It provides a method to deliver files.
But, that is it. Once the file is downloaded, Kazaa plays no part with
it.

As to your problem. You need to remember. Some people don't know how to
create MP3's properly. Also, Some poeple put bad or virus infected files
up on purpose and the RIAA & friends have been known to make corrupted
files available to try and discourage Music sharing.

What this all boils down to is. When you use P2P, you take your
chances.

If you buy a CD you also take your chances as to the quality. 90% of a CD
is not worth listening to but you pay the full price anyway.
