K8V SE Deluxe USB Question

I installed a 7in1 card reader on my front panel and plugged it into the
board at the usb socket. it is version 2.0. the port works but is VERY
slow. any ideas to speed it up

Go into the BIOS and make sure the USB speed is set at 'High Speed' and not
'Full Speed'.
