Just wanted to report a small annoyance THAT TURNED INTO HUGE ANGE

gI have been using Outlook for many years. It has always been somewhat
annoying that Outlook does not allow one to print a single page of a message
(even though it helpfully offers to print the even or odd pages, whatever use
that may have!). After limping along for years (editing the message before
printing, sending off to pdf, etc.) I innocently decided to go to
support.microsoft.com to report this "problem". This is where my small
annoyance turned into HUGE ANGER. Allow me to explain....

First of all, there was no place (repeat, no place) to allow you to report
problems. It turns out that you can ask a question, or provide feedback on
the support site, but "problem ? What problem ???". The closest thing I could
find was the "let us support you for 35 quid (that is pounds sterling for
non-UK readers), ask your question here!" page. When I started this page, it
asked me for the product ID (fair enough) but then when I went to Outlook to
find my Product ID. I was given a read only display which I could not cut and
paste. I don't know about you, but trying to copy 20 random numbers by hand
from one screen to another is not exactly my favourite past time. So I went
back out, and found a "provide feedback" page, which turned out to be
soliciting feedback on the "efficacy of the web support". However, the
comment box in this would only take about 80 characters before stopping, so
obviously, I could not provide the feedback.

So I ended up here, probably likely to be accused of an entirely
inappropriate posting!.

I never post anything anywhere! However, I must say that this time, I am
really annoyed.. And all I wanted to do was tell microsoft how to improve
their product for the millions that are stuck with using them day in and day
out, and day in and day out, and day in, and day out.....

Cheers from the UK

I feel your pain...One way I print part of an email message is to put the
cursor in front of the text you want to print, right click and drag to the
end of the section, then go to File, Print, and under Page Range, choose
"Selection"

Thanks.

And may I ask how you navigated to that page ? Did you start at
support.microsoft.com ?

The print even/odd pages is for manual duplexing.

Thanks codovey,

My print page does not show a "page range" option.
I guess I will continue to cut and paste and edit and what not until our
friends in Washington get their act together.... Good night.

No, I had it bookmarked :-)

The look of http://support.microsoft.com depends on which country you have
set in your regional setting. For both Dutch and US I can choose Contact->
Provide Feedback-> Microsoft Wish.

A search on "product feedback suggestions" on Microsoft.com will put in the
first 10 results as well.
