I keep getting a "remote prodedure call" error and the
computer shuts down within 1 minute - any answers ??
 
Hi Lorrie: Do a search for msblaster. Haven't you been reading the news.
Worldwide worm infesting computers.

You got the new W32/Blaster virus

WHen you log on, go to Start->Run->cmd
Type SHUTDOWN -A and press ENTER
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and close the MSBLAST.EXE Process
Go to Windows Update, and download every update you can

Since you have been off the planet for the last 2 weeks and not had any
chance to read or hear about the MSBlaster worm, just do a google search for
RPC Shutown and you'll find the answers you need. When you download the
patch, you need to take a serious look at your lack of computer security (no
firewall, non-updated antivirus, etc). One final thing; please pick up a
newspaper or watch you local news once in a while. When a worm the
magnitude of MSBLaster comes along, you need to be aware of it.

Ya know something asswipe? Some people just don't like to read the paper,
since about anything it carries is depressing...*including* news about an
overpriced OS that can't keep itself from being ****ed up by any script kiddie
who happens to write "Hello World" in C!
