WHEN I TURN MY COMPUTER ON IT JUST GOES STRAIGHT TO A MESSAGE THAT SAYS"GOING
TO SLEEP". I REPLACED THE VIDEO CARD AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING. CAN
SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? I HAVE AN HP PAVILION

Jillpickle:

I own Compaq PC's (now part of HP) an one nice feature I like about it is
that they have a WEBsite (HP.com), and connection to their "online chat"
feature where tehch support guide you through a problem.

You can also look up particular PC models where they go into "known" issues
for certain machines.

And if you have the HP update feature turned on, you can be notified of
updated drivers etc., and have it automatically updated.

You can get a more focused answer there.

Well the caps lock is still working - with your shouting I fail to
understand how anything can get any sleep ;-) ;-)

Ah, then you have managed to solve the problem with this other computer -
well done!

Ah - then it must be the way you try to explain yourself :-)
I assumed that a message no longer in Caps indicated you had solved that
particular problem and not the dropping off to sleep that you are suffering
from.

If it wasn't the keyboard then you have a big problem. Maybe someon
will help you after you fix your attitude. Try hitting the F8 ke
before the message appears. If you get to the boot menu, boot i
safe mode

Why did you bother with the video card

Stev

It won't even let you push anything it just automatically goes to sleep. I
tried with the video card because i thought maybe video card was going out.
And what did I do to u to say i have an attitude problem.
