Just did a fresh install...

People are telling me that now is the time to install SP2. SP2 was what
caused all my problems and left me needing a fresh install.

Is there anything I need to do before installing SP2. What are the first
steps?

If you have not installed any programs yourself, then just install sp2
now. Also did you read the link supplied in the previous thread you
started about sp2 killing your computer?
