I have an elderly Aunt who has used the free Juno telephone email for
several years. She lives on $625 per month so she cannot afford to buy any
Internet, besides, I doubt she is knowledgeable enough about the Internet to
keep from importing a virus. She loves email and is now heartbroken about
losing it at the end of the month. I know this is off topic but does anyone
know of another such telephone system available? I have searched Google to
no avail. Any suggestions?

Juno has a new email. It is called Juno Megamail and costs $9.95 per
year. She would need a credit card. Go to
http://www.juno.com/megamail/features.html and check it out. I have
changed mine.

Give the allvantage $5.95/month setup below a look. They have pop
email, but hotmail/yahoo web email might be better for your aunt
as they usually scan all the mail for viriuses and auto block
spam. Put it on your credit card and make it a nice year long
Christmas present.

You get 10 hours per month for free. That should be enough to download
e-mails. For sending e-mails, they would be composed offline and you
are online only long enough to send the message. If you go over the 10
hours/month quota, you get charge $1/hour up to a maximum of $10/month.
So the max you would pay per month is $10. However, you might end up
not paying anything. I think there is a $3.95 signup fee. Be sure to
configure your dial-up connection is it disconnects when the connection
is no longer needed (i.e., when you exit your e-mail client).

Try Netzero, they have 10 hours FREE Internet service per month. They have
lots of dial-up numbers too.
