I am running windows XP prof and Office 2003. All products are up fully up to
date. The server is Windows Advanced, and it is running exchange 2000.
Everything was ok until I tried to activate the Junk email filter. I added
one email address to the filter and then all mail started going there. I have
removed that name and tried every possible conbinations of settings. But all
email goes to the Junk folder. This even happens if an address is
specifically permitted. Can anyone help. I have even tried reinstalling
Office, but all to no avail.

David,
One possibility is that you set your Junk Mail Filter to Safe Lists Only.
However, since you have the problem even after specifically permitting an
address it doesn't sound like this is the case.

1. Does the problem get solved if you turn the filter off? (No Automatic
Filtering)
2. Is the Junk Mail Filter on Low?

You can get to the Junk E-mail Options from Tools->Options->Junk E-mail...

Joe, thanks for your interest.
The filter is set to no automatic filtering.
I have tried it in cached mode and non cached mode.
Is it possible there is anything in the exchange server config that can be
causing this.
You may be further confused to note that all the other PC's attached to the
server (some onW2K and some on XP do not have the same problem.

David, could you clear out your Blocked Senders list?
We enforce the Blocked Senders list regardless of the Junk E-mail Filter
being turned on or off.

David,

You are not alone. I have exactly the same problem. I am a third level
support engineer for our company. I have tried everything I can think of.
Uninstall/reinstall, Detect and Repair. Deleting entries in all of the
sender lists, blocked, and safe.

It's frustrating since almost every email ends up in the junk folder, I am
missing very sensitive and critical security alerts. I am about reading to
move to a different pc. I just want to turn the darn junk filter off and you
can't.
