Journal Entry Types - How do I add one?

I would like to add an entry for IM - Instant Message how do I do this?
Also is there a way to have the journal save IM messages in MSN or
Yahoo automatically? Is there a third party tool for this?

I don't think there's a way to auto-record the entries, however
