Ok I have a old Domain Call HI-PDC..com a new Smal Business Server Domian
hi.local

Now I want tthe user in their windows XP use the new doamin hi.local but
when I join the new domain from Windows XP it chages the all setting of the
user, so how do I keep same setting for the user in the local PC for the new
domain ?

Thanks

Domain policies override local policies. When your
computer connects to the domain, it inherets the domain
policies. There is nothing you can do about that, except
WORK AROUND the policies :-)!

Carlos:

Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel and from there double click System, and
look for the Advanced Tab-click on it, look for User Profiles-second from
top.

And click on Settings, from there you should see
Domain/ComputerName-UserName, click on the domainname/username and copy to.

Browse to the NEW Profile (new domain hi.local ) and paste the copied
profile there.

Try MultiNetwork Manager 7 from www.globesoft.com
This tool will let you switch between the domains and also
let you use the same desktop
This tool is extremely suitable for laptop users
