What can be done for a jittery screen in Windows XP?

Thanks, Larry
Increase your screen refresh rate under display advanced tab in your
dispaly properties.

Thanks
I'll try that and let you know how it turns out. It may take awhile because
I am helping someone on this problem and I don't know when I can see her.
Thanks again Larry

ALSO: It can be caused by having the monitor too close to another electrical component.
Or, the electrical outlet it's plugged into could be causing the problem. If it isn't
the drivers, cables or refresh rate, try moving the monitor away from speakers, or any
other close electrical components. If that doesn't help, try plugging into another
electrical outlet. If none of the above helps, it's possible that you have a faulty
monitor or display adaptor.

Those are all good suggestions. However, it could just be a sh*tty monitor
like I have.

I had a 17" Viewsonic for five years and I loved it, picture was solid as a
rock. When it blew, I got another Viewsonic, the A90f+, expecting similar
quality. The first thing I noticed was the corners of the screen quivered
like jelly when the furnace or washer was on. I took it back and got a
replacement. Same result. I bought a power conditioner, no change. The
screen shrinks and expands depending on whether the monitor is warm or cold,
it jiggles, and it's resolution dependent too. Just crappy, crappy
equipment. I wish this thing would die.

Only other suggestion for the OP is to experiment with different resolutions
and refresh rates. Some may be more stable than others.
