We are using Office 2000 with Jet engine 4.0 on Windows
2000 OS. How do find out what service pack has been
installed for the Jet engine?

Locate msjet40.dll on your computer. The latest version is

4.0.8015.0 Service Pack 8 (SP8)

However there was a further update
4.0.8618.0 Security Bulletin MS04-014

If you use Windows Update you should have the latest.
