jdbgmgr.exe virus???

I received a message from my brother telling me that his
address book was infected and therefore my address book is
infected.
Apparently it the file called "jdbgmgr.exe" which has a
teddy bear icon and I was advised to delete it. However,
I found the file but it says it is a Microsoft debugger
registrar for Java.
What should I do? Should I delete it or is it safe?

Adios...

PS. I have no antivirus software yet!

This is a very old hoax. If your antivirus software is current
and detects nothing, you're safe. Do nothing with the named file,
delete the email, and tell whomever sent you the original message to
check their facts before spreading rumors.
