Javascript is used to log onto a particular web site I
wish to visit. When I click on the "Log In" button,
nothing happens. I can log onto the site from another
computer that I just re-installed XP Home on. I couldn't
log in before the re-install. I cannot log into this
site with my laptop (XP Home, IE6sp1). Re-installing on
this machine is not an option..... I am at a loss as to
what to do to log in.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Forgot to add... The site behaves the same on my laptop
using the Brand N browser.... So I think that this is
an XP problem...

Check at Internet Options - Security page, take the Internet Zone and
click Custom - at the bottom in Scripting ensure all three sections are
on Enable.

Another possible cause of the effect, though, is that you have a pop-up
ad stopper in action, and that is catching the scripts. In ZoneAlarm
Pro, for example, having the Privacy - Ad blocking on can have this
effect. If on Medium it is usually OK, High can certainly block things
