I'm using office 2k, on an XP Pro OS.
The help extras [javascript items] are now disabled.
I have Sun Java on the machine. Is there a way to enable those javascript helps
again ?

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional. Access doesn't use Javascript, so I suspect
your problem deals with some other product.

You'd be better off finding a newsgroup that's related to whatever product
that is. If you're trying to use Javascript for base scripting, try a group
like microsoft.public.windowsxp.general. If it's a problem with Internet
Explorer, pick one of the inetexplorer groups.

Has nothing to do with explorer. I have javascript enabled in explorer.

Check out one of those help subtitled links in access. They most definitely are
javascript powered.

XP's security considers anything that pops up [javascript] a threat or
annoyance. Every one of those sub helps pops up a short 2-3 line help on what
they're talking about. ie:

Fire up access, search help for the item below.
Create a switchboard form by using the Switchboard Manager
This help can be found at the bottom of this help page in access. And they're
scattered everywhere in the helps. There's links to actual helps, and these
java helps that are simple popups with more info.
Building Applications with Forms and Reports.
javascript:HelpPopup('actip9.hlp','defBuildingApplications');

I want those javascript helps re enabled in access.

You need to check out access in more depth.

I stick by my statement that Access doesn't use Javascript. What you're
describing is the Help subsystem, which is part of the operating system.
Access uses external DLLs to interact with the Help.
