I have a notification icon regarding Java 2 Runtime Environment
v.1.4.2_03-b02. What's the deal with this, should I update as the icon is
prompting? I'm running xp home (oem) IE6 original os (comp is 2 yrs old)

Sorry, but that version of Java is a Sun product. You'll have to
seek an answer to your question from either Sun or a news group
dedicated to supporting Sun software.
