Web pages that use Java seem to not work, I clicked on a .vbs file
downloaded from the XP tweak website and get the message from my maching
that the Can't find script engine Visual Basic and when I check on my
LAN it says WMI not functioning.

I had a huge Systemworks issue and the techie had me adding and
uninstalling programs. Understatement here, I think something fatal has
happened.

What can/should be re-installed to fix what the Symantec dude had me do?
(I don't have system go back on, don't have the disk space)

Help please.

Thank you.

WMI=Windows Management Instrumentation and can be found in your control panel\administrative tools\services. Scroll down throught the list until you find it and then right click on it and choose properties and then in the "Startup Type" line click the drop down list arrow on the right and choose Automatic and then click apply and then click the start button. Then go here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=BA9D7924-4122-44AF-8AB4-7C039D9BF629 and get the latest VB6 runtime files. They are self installing. The same goes for the Java VM get and install it here

Good luck.
