Hi all. I'm v new to XP and am in need of a bit of help. This is probably
old news to most in here but here goes.

I installed a version of XP Professional on my PC but am having problems
viewing web pages as XP came without JAVA virtual machine. I know I can
download a version of VM from SUN website but I have also heard that if you
go to the run facility on the start menu, you can type in a brief command to
enable JAVA. Does anyone know the command to type?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Since Microsoft can no longer offer its own Virtual Machine,
all you need is the JAVA software installed.

I've downloaded the version of Microsoft VM and rebooted the PC but when I
click on a link, and a second window opens, it's still blank.

I've entered internet tools in IE and selected all of the options under JAVA
VM to enable them but still no joy.

Anyone got any ideas how to solve it?
