The standard JAVA implementation is available from its creators...

Microsoft has lost their court batte with Java (SUN) and
if U have upgraded to service pack 1a. Then the upgrade
has downgraded U by removing the Microsoft VM java. Go to
www.java.com and download the latest java version there.
If online download fails for U then select "manual
download" This may work for U with Microsoft XP it is hit
and miss, sometimes even though U load this version into
your OS it sometimes doesn't get registered properly.
Uninstall / reinstall may help -or not!
This is an ongoing issue with Microsoft!

Actually, that would be an ongoing issue with Sun. If they didn't write
crap Windows software, that wouldn't be a problem.
