There's a iPod plug-in that you can use with Winamp.

http://www.mlipod.com/index.php

These are the system requirements for Winamp:

Minimum

* 400MHz Pentium II
* 64MB RAM
* 10MB Hard Disk Space
* 16bit Sound Card
* Windows 98 or later

Recommended

* 1GHz Pentium III
* 128MB RAM
* 10MB Hard Disk Space
* Windows 2000 or later

I'm just looking at this for someone. The new version of Sharepod (v1.8.1)
will run on 98 but you may have to upgrade windows script host and a few
other bits and pieces to get it going.

W98 drivers are at http://win98.drivers.w.interia.pl/ipod.html (watch the
dodgy popups).

I've yet to try this out properly as the pod is in constant use and difficult to
get hold of.

Why don't you check out Monkey Media. It has IPOD support and
playlists. I like it alot better than itunes. it can do everything
all my other media players can do in one system

The drivers work fine. My computer recognized the ipod OK.

Next step is to try out the various software recommended by the guy at that
driver site. I've downloaded Winamp5 (was using 2.x), realaudio and vpod.

Any favorites here?

TIA
