iTunes needs an internet connection to connect to the Music Store. The
Music Store is not on your PC or imbedded within any iTunes software. Music
Store is its own website, in effect.
If you want to use the Music Store without ever getting popups, you'll need
a popup blocker software. Check
www.download.com to see if they have any
free ones.
Also, my Music Store from iTunes never put popups on my screen after I
installed and used it. Then again, I have Norton Internet Security running
in the background which was set to block popups and I have a hardware
internet router which is between my PC and my cable modem. This makes my PC
invisible to the internet. The internet sees my router but not my PC.
Are the popups from iTunes, Apple, or Music Store itself, or are they popups
for some other vendor?
