I can't install itunes, can anyone help?

I get an error 1406 could not write value to key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe.

checking into it, I've seen reference to Dr. Watson. Who is this person and
why won't he let me install itunes?

And yes, I have checked Apple forums too
Thanks for any suggeestions

The most common source of this type of error is your user account not being
powerful enough. Make sure you're logged on with administrator privileges.
If someone created a "Limited User" account for you in Windows XP, you won't
be able to install most applications. Either another user with administrator
privileges should install the application for all users to accesss, or they
should temporarily grant you administrator rights. Good luck.

Here's the scoop if this happens to you-I had admin privilege and still
wouldn't write a value to the cdda key in the registry.
We went into the registry editor and gave permission for the 'system' to
write to this key and it solved the problem.
