iTunes and XP

I installed iTunes on my laptop (windows XP) no problem, downloaded
music to my Ipod no problem.
2 month later - added external harddisc no problem.
Went on Holiday - and now .......
I cannot open iTunes.
Downloaded anew iTunes can get it installed but application will not
run. I get message:folder<<

and then it does not open the application.

I deleted all iTune folders and tried it once again - downloading the
application, installing it, I get a message "agree on terms ...." but
the iTunes application does not open - I only get the same message.
What do I do?
Can you help me?
