Glad you asked! The Special Edition Using FrontPage 2002 book didn't have a
CD and didn't have the content that FrontPage users really want. When Paul
and I went to work on this book, we wanted to make sure that not only was
the content superior to anything else out there, but we also wanted to make
sure that our CD was better than any CD ever put on a FrontPage book. I
think we succeeded in doing that. Check this out...
The most highly publicized piece on there is Woody's WOPR for Office 2003.
WOPR (which costs $50 if you buy it from Woody) is a great tool for folks
who use Word, but there's also a lot for users of FrontPage specifically.
There's an IE toolbar (FrontPage Power User IE Toolbar) that contains
FrontPage-specific functionality. (This is the full version, not a trial
version.) There are some cool Dynamic Web Templates from FrontPage Tools, a
full version of CooleEmail plug-in for FrontPage 2003, a full version of 123
Password Creator, a ton of training materials (including some great video
computer-based training on FrontPage 2003.)
You'll also get SnipView, an add-in I created specifically for buyers of my
book. SnipView allows you to backup your Code Snippets, view Code Snippets
from other people, and easily copy selected Code Snippets to FrontPage.
SnipView makes it easier and more intuitive to copy individual Code Snippets
into FrontPage than other tools.
You can purchase a similar product for $15.00, but SnipView comes free with
the book. (SnipView will only be available on the CD. It will not be
distributed on my Web site.)
