Items stuck in my Outbox

I tried to email a 6MB file. The item is currently in my
outbox. It won't send and I can't delete it. When i try
to delete, I get the Microsoft Outlook message "The
messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If
problem persists, restart Outlook." I have restarted
Outlook and rebotted my machine with no luck. Any ideas?

I got a suggestion of going to my email remotely and
could not get to the Outbox.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I recently had a similar situation, but additionally,
although the item remained in my outbox, it did send
repeatedly to the individual to whom I wanted to send it.
In my case it turned out to be a problem with my McAfee
Online virus scanner. Their support person had me go into
task manager and end the process on one of the files. I
don;t know if you are using McAfee online, but if you are,
you might want to give their support people a call.
