Larry in Michigan

yes I know its been covered 10 to the 7th power times, but-
My Gateway is in a mini case, 1.4 Celeron, 384 ram, USB
1.1 and 2.0, only CDRW and 3.5 floppy.
To copy my analog video from vcr or video camera, I need-
a half height video card that has S video and RCA video
out (my camcorder has only RCA out)since my video is
integrated on the MB, one of the many copy/editing
programs, and swap my CDRW drive for a decent DVD RW drive.
Perhaps the system is marginal, but want to keep cost down.
Browsing eCost looks like abuot $125 for a card....
Other option is a $350 DVD recorder of the 'appliance'
type?
ANY help appreciated.....

Also, you may just want to look into buying a TV Tuner card as most of
those are a capture card with a TV Tuner built in. They run about the
same price, so there is no point in buying just a Capture Card unless
you need them to be professional quality or something.

Many people prefer the Hauppage TV Tuners, I like ATI's TV Tuners (using
an eHome Wonder). Depends on how much you want to spend.

Also, you can get a nice 8x Dual Layer DVD Burner for under $70 from
newegg.com (Look for the NEC ND-2500A or NEC ND2510A if you want Dual
Layer capabilities).

Tanks for the info folks. Useful at this end. What I dont
wanna do is spend a couple hundred or so and then have a
boogered up DVRW that copies wnat amounts to every third
frame, if it copies at all.

THANKS again!
