IT keeps shutting games off!

In all my Games I play it could be in the middle and the game will just shut off for no reason? Anyone know why? The Games I usually play is madden 2004,freelancer, Ghost Recon,and Operation Flashpoint. All made by different companies including microsoft, whats the deal, what Am I doin wrong?

Do you have power settings to turn off the monitor after a
specified time??? if so make sure it says always on..
or are you saying the game itself ends and your back to
the system screen???
