Isn't this odd?

Having a first experience with external USB drive (XP2 Home). I have a
300GB Seagate HD partitioned into three equal drives. Widows noticed the
HD immediately at boot and said disk was ready. But is it?

Explorer only shows TWO of the THREE partitions (drives are R: S: T:). I
went to drive manager. It immediately showed THREE partitions and gives
a healthy state for all! Went to a CMD prompt and typed "T:" and lo,
there it is, and I can easily read from it.

So why does drive T: not show up in Explorer (only R: & S: on this
drive)??

Thanks
Vic

Reboot.

Also - you said you went to drive manager and it showed three healthy
partitions...
Did each show they had a drive letter?

Is the drive letter T assigned to this third partition Disk Manager? Any
other USB drives or network drives where there might be a conflict?

Also you could download TweakUI, one of the MS powertoys. There is an
option in there to hide certain drive letters. Check to make sure the T
drive isn't deselected.

Shenan, to answer your question; yes, drive manager showed three healthy
drives, all assigned a drive letter (R S T). Rebooted and voila, there
it is!

Thanks
