Please help me. I was using AIM and explorer froze. So,
I restarted the computer, hoping that the problem would
fix itself. But, it ended up getting worse; it would not
even start up and kept reseting itself after showing a
blue screen. Now, it boots up to the "welcome" screen but
there is an "Isass.exe System Error" that reads "An
invalid parameter was passed to a service or function."
Then I click the "ok" button at the bottom and the
computer resets itself. I need serious help and have no
where to turn to. Anyone that has any idea what to do to
rectify this issue, please contact me at
(e-mail address removed) A.S.A.P.

I would run a full virus and spyware/malware scan.
See if it find's anything.
For good measure use system restore to revert the
system back to before this mess.

Thank You for the advice but I cannot do anything in
Windows XP so I don't kno how to run the
virus ,spyware/malware scan without XP. Also, how would I
access system restore outside of XP, in DOS?

I have exactly the same problem as you do. An I could not come up in Safe Mode either.
How do I get to the point of fixing the error when I can't get to Windows.
