isable: Balloon with message ...

Hi there,

Win XP Prof SP2 with latest updates.

How can I disable XP to remind me every now and then that my network is
connected? It becomes a bit irratating and I want to diable this function -
if its's possible.

Hi Deon,

All balloon tips can be disabled using Tweakui. Install Tweakui and go
to
Task and Start menu, then uncheck Enable balloon tips.

Microsoft PowerToys – Tweakui for WinXP: Ver. 2.10 requires WinXP SP1
and later

With NO Service Packs installed, the earlier version can be found

If only.

When out of wireless area, I still get that annoying ballonon
"unable to connect to wireless" -- not once, but several times per
logon.

Whn I unplug my Ethernet cable, I get an annoying balloon ablut my
LAN connection being broken.

Are you saying you are still getting the balloon tip after disabling
them in Tweakui?

My face is red, but I appreciate your article. I double-checked in
TweakUI, and "Enable balloon tips" was checked. I could swear I
unchecked it weeks ago.

Maybe I only thought I did; maybe I did but it rechecked itself
somewhere along the line. I'll report back when I know more.
