I'm sick of my XP just grinding away on the disk drive and basically
rebooting itself.

Is win2kpro more stable being an older OS?

I have a TON of development tools on it right now but I see no reason for
these problems.

No. If anything it's the other way around. Windows 2000 is
actually NT5.0 and Windows XP is NT5.1. XP is an improved, better
version of 2000.

Millions of people have few, if any, problems with XP. I think
it's the best, most stable version of Windows ever released.
Instead of looking to take a step backward, why don't you
describe your problems in detail, and it's likely that someone
here can help you with them.
