I have Win 2K, Eudora 4=5.1, Netscape 4.7 at work and it is
wonderful. Never crashes. Surf and e-mail all the time.
A month ago I got a new machine with Win XP Professional,
Eudora 6.1.1.1, and Firefox and the latest Netscape. It is
a disaster. My system freezes two to three times a day
when using Eudora or browsers. Mouse to upper left and
upper right (close) have no effect. Right click on
application on lower task bar has no effect. Worse, Task
Manager will not stop anything. Nothing. It acts like it
is impotent. My Task manager at work (Win 2k) works 100
percent of the time. My Task Manager at home has NEVER
worked. And I can't even use the Start, Shutdown option.
How did XP Professional get so impotent. Why did XP give
up my control to this computer, and does anyone know what I
can do about it? I hard reboot 2 to 3 times every day.
Many thanks,
Frustrated, George
P.S. I load and unload programs. I am not a programmer.

Your problems appear to be due to inadequate hardware.
Since you failed to mention your hardware specs, there
is little to be recommended until you provide a more
adequate description.

Windows was engineered in the first place to be impotent: in such as it was not to be replicated without a proper fee bveing paid to Microsoft.

It also was built with a great email client and browser.

So if yuou are so silly as to load up replicating functionality, you can expect functional problems!
