To be more specific:

If you are asking about how to use the port with XP, OK

If you are asking about the Port in general, like how COM ports work
or their specification, you need to take it elsewhere
 
I think this is not a right place to ask the question too.
As far as I know,no elsewhare to go.Can you tell a right forum?Thanks!
 
What is it you want to ask about COM ports? You could ask, and if the
answer is simple, you will likely be answered. If more involved info is
needed, you may receive directions to that information!
