Ordered full retail Office Standard from Softwaremedia.com and received a
flat pack with a so called "free upgrade" to full retail Office Professional.
The pack says Launch 2007 Resource Kit and it has instructions to go to
www.launchtour2007.com/download to download the program. They said it was a
promotion that MS was running and it is a 100% full retail (I could change
computers and upgrade in the future), has a key, MS supported, can be burned
to a DVD, and used just like any other full retail version. It sure smells
like a fish so before I open it I want to be sure.

Peter, I have a similar concern. Bought from a different vendor. I wonder
if MS has an address where you can type the product key in before you install
to see if the key is valid.

AFAIK, the launch packs are full legit retail (given out to attendees free
of charge) - if you got it at a launch event. Buying it from a vendor
doesn't necessarily void the license but it does "smell" somewhat. You
should report them to (e-mail address removed)
