Is there indexing software available?

I'd like to index certain html pages thoroughly. You know,
like index in the back of some books which list important
words and the page numbers where they are found.

Is there any software available that will go through the
entire web site, cull all words and where they are found,
and list them in alphabetical order? Then I could remove
unnecessary words and create an index from the rest of the
words.

Thanks!

Hi Steve,

Contact your ISP / WPP and see if they have Microsoft Index Server and how you would build a catalog. Also, FrontLook
(http://www.frontlook.com) offers a search component that allows you to index your web site internally.

Thanks!
