Is there an easy way to switch configurations?

Ed

I use the family computer for work, the kids for games, etc. All those
system tray programs are not wanted under some computer usage (not all in
the StartUp folder). How can I select different configurations, say at boot
up?

ed

Hi Ed,

1. Browse to the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and copy that folder to your C: drive.

2. Delete the contents of the original folder

3. Copy the shortcuts *you* want to use to your Start / All Programs /
Startup folder. Tell the other users to do the same when they sign in.

Not all the programs are in the StartUp folder, some like WeatherBug are
elsewhere. How can I get programs like this one to show up only when I want?
ed

Hi Ed,

For those programs, use a utility such as this one:

Great!

That works well. It would be nice to be able to set accounts just the way I
wanted it to boot, but this will work.

ed

Glad that worked Ed. :-)
You can place a shortcut to Weatherbug in the startup folder for your
profile if you like, so that each user will have their own startups. :-)
