is there a way to use windows messenger instead of msn messenger

without un-installing msn messenger, is there a way to use windows messenger
on select xp accounts instead of msn messenger ?

but sometimes msn messenger comes up instead of windows messenger, how can i
prevent this; i've got start when windows is loaded and internet connection
is established, both disabled.

so what, do they both load?

just rename msnmsgr.exe in C:\program files\MSN Messenger (then it wont
load)..

Hi,

Renaming it will break it for other users and is definitely not recommended.

Hi,

Just open each Messenger client on the account in question, click the Tools menu, then
Options, then General or Preferences tab (depending on client) and select or deselect the
"Automatically run Messenger when I log on to Windows" and "Run this Program when Windows
starts" options depending on which client you want.
