Hello,

I'm a tech working for a systembuilder, and we have some in-house
programs that we would like to be able to install on all of the
computers that we build. Is there any way to do this automated off of
the xp disc? I have looked up info about the $OEM$ directory, but from
what I can tell it's just for plug & play drivers.

Thanks in advance,
Tom Norris

Yes, but you will have to research it search at a search engine for
"slipstream" and other related terms. You might be interested in the
Microsoft OEM System Builder program:

Have a look over the whole page. Here's a quote from it:

The OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) for Windows XP SP2 is a valuable tool
for
system builders. It will help you:
Save time by automating preinstallation.
Provide flexibility in choosing compact disc-based, network-based, or
peer-to-peer preinstallation methods.
Preinstall software programs on the systems you build.
Preinstall drivers for devices that don't have built-in support in the OS.
Customize the preinstallation with branding, technical support
information,
and customized applications.
Test preinstalled computers without interrupting the preinstallation
process.
The OPK is included free with each 3 or 30-pack.
